His post irritated the hell out of me. For 90% of it, he rips on PHP, then at the end he says, "how about bloggers stop ripping on PHP?" Hey guys, Jeff said his piece about PHP, everyone else shut up about it now.

Seems tautological. I think what he's asking is, why is there to be a limit to how fast light can go, and he's looking for a better answer than "because there is one." I would love to know why there's an arbitrary speed limit to lights that

Beta user of Vooza here. Just gotta say, I love how the cloud based crowd sourced API social graph seamlessly allows me to wiki the S3 storage for microblogging and geolocation services by using distributed computing. It's pretty amazing!

In my opinion, they've stagnated not because of laptops, but because of consoles. 5 years ago, the PS3 came out, a year before that, the Xbox 360 came out. Cross platform development has caused things to stagnate. When the next round of con

Minor thing: The iPhone on the site with the app shown on the screen - the low battery percentage, the alarm icon, the odd time and the AT&T icon are all kind of distracting to me. I know it has nothing to do with the actual app, but 11

Didn't Jeff make the point that people should be taught "computer skill" for the reasons you just listed? You can learn about the ins and outs of technology without learning to code.

This presents an interesting situation. Is Stallman okay with being hooked up to medical computers even though they may not be running free software? What about the privacy issues involved in being checked into a hospital?
