This works great. Also, I've found that at least for my cable company (Charter), a mere mention on Twitter will get them to contact you and solve the matter quickly over email rather than going through their call center nightmare.

From this post, it sounds like they only took the stick from the Jack Welch approach (firing the bottom 10%) and not the carrot (rewarding the top 20% for doing well and coaching the middle 70% to improve).

It also makes me wonder why OpenTable hasn't tried this already as an upsell to their existing restaurant clients, since I'm sure they still deal with walk-ins and are looking for something classier than a vibrating/talking drink coaster.

Hoping Textaurant takes off. I was at a restaurant last night where they gave me one of those awful pagers. Not only did it vibrate though, it also repeatedly shouted at me, "Your table is ready." It was disruptive and surely annoyed the

This was the best advice I was ever given before taking a job that had me traveling 4500 miles a week. If I didn't do the challenge, I would have left 50,000 bonus miles and a bunch of upgrade stickers on the table. At the time it was free

According to this, Android's numbers also include other devices with cellular modems built in, like B&N's Nook. http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2010/07/16/steve-jobs-confirms-a... So I'm guessing that "activation" just means a new device

I can certainly see how Prime has gotten Amazon to get people shopping in newer product lines. Before Prime, Amazon was just for books. Now, I've bought books, a few computers, DVDs, a whole set of golf clubs, a 22-foot stepladder, a lawnm

I'm guessing the issue is that the physical layout of the terminal is designed under the assumption that everyone arriving on an international flight is connecting to a domestic flight, and CVG was not their final airport. In that case, th

I'm that type of person, which is why it bothered me and it even sticks in my mind at all now. The reservation that was canceled would have tipped me over the threshold to get a cashback reward, so I let OpenTable know and got my points. Th
