I’d be surprised if there weren’t any algo breakthroughs before that to make these several times faster (10x?). (such as are all of the weights really needed all of the time, or could you load different ones based on recent context?) If in

When we have near-human level deep learning models for things humans can do, what does this level of performance look like when applied to things we can’t do at all? This is a nice example of this.

Fair question. I live in Japan. Frozen deliveries work reliably, and I don't think we'd have frozen croissants at the supermarket. I order from a store that seems to mostly serve cafes based on their order sizes (their other produ

Ordering frozen croissants online. Before going to bed you leave one in the oven. Wake up, turn oven on, hit the shower. When you come out, it's ready to eat = cafe experience at home, coffee and a croissant while checking the news.

Although Roblox takes about a 75% cut (to cover their Apple/Google Play fees, servers, and leaving some for profit), it’s still going a bit better than Candy Japan did. With CJ I kept even less (I think it was somewhere around 10-20%)

After covid hit I stopped running the Candy Japan subscription box and moved on to making games on Roblox. I’ve had a good start with it, and want to keep improving and releasing more games. Perhaps I’ll also try some other platforms/s

No API it seems? I was looking for better TTS for my AI video presentation generator side project. Which one has the best voices out of those offering an API?

One step towards the “Hang the DJ” Black Mirror episode where a dating app recommends matches by simulating relationships. If you had ChatGPT on both sides with deep info about each person they could talk to see if there is chemistry :)

I could see people backing this on kickstarter even if it wouldn't actually be a game you'd play for a long time, because of just the novelty of being able to invite your friends over to show them these cool cards.

Writing about data seems reliably popular. There’s even a company that just writes viral blog posts for clients about their data (Pricenomics). Whenever you run an experiment or gather data, consider whether it might be shareable as a post.
