I'm not sure why you're bringing another poster into this or why you bring up a strawman Louvre. But it does seem like you are pretty committed to your belief that wiping out culture is okay as long as it is non-Western. I wish yo

Got it. So as long as we preserve a few key specimens we can torch the Louvre guilt free?

I am not an Australian but I've been to Australia and have Australian friends and colleagues. "Racism" is not quite the right word for what's been done to the aboriginals, it's more like the genocide committed again

Hydration is a big one for me, especially drinking one or two normal size glasses of water before a meal. Helps regulate the appetite. Also, not very secret since I got it from an interview with Salma Hayek but it really works: don’t eat me

I am not sure what argument you are trying to make or if you are just being snarky at this point. In any case, it seems we disagree and won't come to an understanding. So, wish you the best and take care.

Funny, in my mind "business object" is the least important thing out of what I wrote. Imagine it's the 1990s and you are coding some hot thing to drop into cgi-bin. My list now changes to be: * An HTTP request * A perl scri

Your question is not quite the right framing. By the time you hit "Staff level" you should have learned that programming language and framework are simply window dressing on top of the fundamentals. The fundamentals are things lik

I’m not at all saying it is right or that I support it. I am simply saying that it is a fact. Some years ago they made a movie called “A Day Without A Mexican” to illustrate this point. The shadow economy powers the visible economy.

No, certainly not for the case you’re describing. The ultimate root of evil is our economic systems assumption that there always has to be growth and that it can continue unbounded. That only occurs in one instance in nature: cancer.

The Vasa Museum is all about the ship named Vasa - the ship was a fantastical failure, the museum is doing quite well as far as I know. :) (The museum spends a lot of time documenting "how could this have gone so wrong?")

Vasa is almost a must-see recommendation for folks working in an engineering/project background. It was such a spectacular failure and for reasons that will likely feel all too familiar for anyone working in enterprise.
