Awesome, I love the concept! I've also been working on an encrypted note taking application but it doesn't have a landing page yet. Encryption needs to catch on more!

> Then again, some people find math hard, others find it easy. To each their own. Way to be condescending. The presented opinion is clearly reasonable, as is yours.

As the other comments mentioned it's due to application instead of window switching. I find it frustrating to alt-tab to some application with no windows (because I closed it but on macOS that doesn't close the app), which only ma

I use https://alt-tab-macos.netlify.app/ Without it alt-tabbing is near useless for me on macOS.

Absolutely love this! The design language and focus on simplicity is right up my alley. If there isn't any blocker (pun intended) that I'll only come across later this will definitely replace Todoist for me. Are there any restrict

Great stuff, I just got shivers looking at your trailer late at night here.

I've been working on an encrypted note taking web app called 'fieldnotes'. It's designed to remove friction for writing down everything I might want to reference later by having a very clean and uncluttered interface. It

Looks neat and I particularly like the 80 day startup thing you've got going on :) The product isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I have a web based, more visual application in mind.

That's what I use currently, but kanban boards look and feel like an afterthought to me. Sprints would also be nice to have.

Not necessarily anything new, but I've been looking for a clean and simple todo / project planning web application for an affordable price and ideally e2e encrypted. From what I've seen most solutions that look appealing are

I'm always amazed when seemingly everyone in a thread on Mozilla has only negative things to say. I for one welcomed the UI change with the new tabs and look forward to give them some money if this MDN Plus turns out to be interesting.

Then tailwindcss simply isn't the right tool for your use case. It's not a framework that could replace Bootstrap, but rather a very thin abstraction over css with an opinionated way of using it (effectively inline style).

I fully agree, that's exactly what I'm seeing in the job market for Rust in switzerland. It's unfortunate, but I guess more traditional industries are firmly in the grip of Java etc.

I'm swiss and work at a (not internationally known) software company in zurich. 1. Yes, you will find a lot of job offers 2. Compared to my peers not in the software industry the pay is excellent. To get a glimpse you can check https:

Probably comes down to two factors: - Only a tiny fraction of all web devs read HN - If business wants something done, the devs are rarely in a position to oppose the decision

I agree, I tend to avoid products without pricing page out of principle, but in this case I think the tax liability will force me to go with paddle for a product I'm working on.

I feel like rust being intense is highly dependent on how you use it and your choice of frameworks. Building up huge types to avoid any dynamic dispatch for instance will suck the fun right out of trying to get an application to compile.

I agree with Rust and sqlx. Haven't used actix-web myself though. I'm currently in the process of porting a warp application to axum and enjoying it a lot so far :)

I understand where you're coming from, but this seems to be a web app with sync across team members etc. So there is recurring infrastracture cost to the provider, of course they charge a subscription. As the article point out, they wa

I hope you take the critical comments here constructively, we just think that you're missing out on a lot of potential users by not being transparent with pricing. As the other comment points out, we've come to expect that no pric

No because google's algorithm is not well known publicly. Also, if it was straightforward to detect then google could downrank it as well.
