It looks to me like Tesla's an AI company masquerading as a car maker with the real goal to take in as much data as necessary for their various AI projects to succeed.

I just ordered a turntable and some records recently, I caved. Not gonna lie, I love the ritual and physicality of it. I'm just going to go bankrupt because I can't help myself :)

I mostly meant the betrayal of trust that's gonna happen when they enable client-side scanning eventually, but the tabs are a positive example of it, at least.

It’s somewhat curious to see them take all previous criticisms on board and actually give people what they want. It’s a welcome change on the hardware side. Wonder if they’ll do the same with the software.

This is such a crazy achievement, I never even thought I’d see it happen at all because of the complex hardware. The PS3 is my favourite console and has some of the games I most cherish, like Demon’s Souls or MGS4. While I have two PS3s mys

That's pretty cool, sadly I'm in Eastern Europe so that's no option for me but it sounds so cool when you have the option!

I didn't really use them for voice calls myself. I readily admit that I might just have been extremely unlucky, I don't know. I really didn't like having to throw headphones away just because they simply wouldn't turn on

I loved the idea of it but in practice I found that I barely if ever used it and the bugs and issues were plain annoying. Stuff like it getting stuck in 'volume control' mode after engaging the slider and being unable to close it

As much as I liked my AirPods gen 1 and the features seem tempting, my personal experience with battery longevity on Apple headphones are not great. I’ve so far had the BeatsX, Beats Studio3 and AirPods. Almost all of them completely died w

Most platforms should have easily accessible "don't show me this" or "show more of this" buttons on their home page where most of the algorithmically generated results are shown. On YouTube it's hidden behind m

If I remember correctly people demonstrated similar things in 2018 or 2019 where you could see your comment but if you lived or it was gone, kind of demonstrating that only you could see it.

The government of my country passed a law requiring all companies to provide some documentation yearly under the threat of giant fines for noncompliance. Unfortunately the first year it was due was last year, and that complicated things so

I don’t really think he was worried, they sell endless amounts of licenses to the government. In Hungary Ballmer got eggs thrown at him by an OSS activist for that exact reason in 08.

Cheap energy is the way to go green. I’d love electric heating and looked into it but the lowest monthly cost estimate I could come up with costs roughly the same for a month in electricity costs as a winter’s worth of firewood. (Well, mayb

I’ve never been prompted despite being on a family plan from the US for years now and the article is from 2019. Strange. Maybe due to EU regulations? Someone invited me and I sometimes use it for more obscure stuff that isn’t on Apple Music

I distinctly remember advertisers saying they would put their ads on demonetised content featuring guns after they banned ads from such so it’s not impossible that some advertisers would be okay with their ads on some controversial content.

I'm not necessarily a fan of the complicated design but I accept that it might've been necessary for miniaturisation. Other than that, to me the message of this video is that if anything goes people will have replacement parts ava

For some reason I assumed from the popup that it would use the sim and gps to broadcast location, not turn the phone into an AirTag so this was interesting to read.

My experience with both the web UI and the app is that they work so annoyingly slowly that it just frustrates me so it's awesome that it's possible to integrate it into HA and still have the functionality you're buying it for

You can also install the app "X.app" from the app store and just use the Share menu inside the YouTube app to open videos in X.app without ads, then you can go fullscreen from there or activate PiP. You used to be able to do this

Wonder if that hook in is just as a camera, though. Unifi cameras do expose RTSP streams in general but I’m just not sure if you get any actual doorbell functionality out of it with the HA plugin.

I would probably not have the same response, indeed. Allow me to explain: my dislike of the way these companies have acted is not political. Gab rolled their own SQL injection prevention and failed at it, published the source for it (becaus
