It'll probably happen by 2020, at the rate they're shedding customers. Their contract with the NFL will be up in 2021; does anyone really think the NFL will ask for less money for Monday Night Football?

Firefox is even worse. I caught it using 37GB virt the other day on Linux and a pretty significant chunk of RAM too. I don't even have 37GB of physical memory.

Seems to me you're being a bit presumptuous. I've been using Apple products since OS 7, and I've owned Apple products since 2006. So that's 10 years of brand loyalty, and thousands upon thousands of dollars in hardware
