The page is returning a database error for me, but the Google cache shows a blog entry describing and linking to the low-power desalination technique announced here: http://www.utexas.edu/news/2013/06/27/

When I looked into Amazingmail, it cost $2K for an API key. Is this still the case?

This is super cool, and I'm very tempted to sign up... but how else will my cell number be used? Even without getting all legal, I'd love a brief note in your FAQ about your privacy policy.

Agreed. Did they do any kind of usability / legibility studies on the thinner typeface? I mean, I mostly use my phone to read email. Why would they reduce contrast on the default text and make it even harder to read?! Just because you

Yes, Moses built many things in the park. But more to the point, the many famous and well-heeled mothers and residents of west 67th street involved in the protest listed at the beginning of chapter 42 of "The Power Broker" makes your commen

You actually raise an interesting parallel: poor communities and planning organizations had railed against the bulldozers of Robert Moses for decades, but in the media he could do no wrong. That was before he tried to build in Central Park.

Why don't they sell Reader? Or spin it off as an independent company? Or put it up for auction? I can't think of when they've ever done anything like this with one of their services, and I can only speculate why. But I can imagine there are

Indeed, I'm starting a responsive site design project that will have a large target audience in China... where some 20% of users are still on IE6. Looks like I'll be testing both Bootstrap and Foundation.

I have absolutely no data on this, but it struck me as a lazy and sneaky way of making layoffs. It looks tough and decisive "She has a vision!" without spooking Wall Street with the "Yahoo starts the layoffs!" headlines.

A friend of mine works for an Apple store and says people still come in asking for the square iPod Nano and TikTok watchband, even though Apple stopped selling the square (7th generation) Nano some 6 months ago.

I experienced this too, but it's working for me now. Seems like a aggressive cookie / caching issue. Try clearing your cache, force-refresh, or logging out and then logging back in again.

Graphics help make stories memorable. There is a well-documented physiological phenomena called the “picture superiority effect.” Stories told with pictures and words are more memorable than when told verbally or with words alone. See http

It always struck me that a legal hack was Microsoft's real, core innovation -- the whole OEM installation agreement, more than anything to do with the superior quality of its operating system. It took decades for the regulators to catch on.

Do you really need a Grand Staircase in 2012? Why make special accommodations and a separate ADA entrance for the special wheelchair people? If you're building from scratch, why not a unified, inclusive design that's accessible to all?
