Yeah, but the one problem is other companies you're going to afterwards don't know what you were getting into. So you are interviewing and they interviewer is impressed you led X big project at Netflix, recieved a promotion, etc.

That's nice to think, but the reality of most business is it works with other business. They need to be roughly on the same schedule in general for that to work. You'll note that B to C business employees often work those stagge

As tptacek says, Jefferson Park is the bang for your buck winner in Chicago. My sister in law just bought for under 200 with a yard, and a decent 2 floor home. House next door was listed for 150 (incredibly small though), and these aren&#

Are most other big cities like the loop after business hours? I'm always shocked at how deserted it is on weekends, and evenings aside from the odd theatre traffic.

I agree with this viewpoint, but it's not popular with this crowd for obvious reasons (hence your downvotes). I think there's a bit of a double edged sword here. People don't want to upgrade, but want a vendor to provide up

Here's a serious question. I'm like, 50/50 with whether or not I believe BI could work or not, but I really believe it can NOT work without being universal in nature. By doing it in a small geographic area only, aren't

I used to have to work in both these cities when I did field service. Valpo is a little unique, though I suspect part of that is proximity to the beautiful Dunes lakeshore area. Merrilville on the other hand, is a standard, typical suburb

Oddly at the same time, as the article mentions, tea consumption in the US has exploded. I switched completely to tea from coffee, and I was a 6+ cups a morning coffee drinker. My stomach problems have gone from unmanageable to generally g

As a cyclist, I get a lot of reasons I shouldn't be on the road thrown at me from people with uneducated opinions, but this one - this misconception right here that driving pays for roads, is the only one that makes my blood boil. I t

What's going to finally change this is when there's a particularly bad day, and security lines are likely to make enough people late, that a swarm effect happens and a mass of people just says "no more" and walks through

No, it's not firing. Firing would be telling that employee their attitude and/or output made them a bad fit and it was time to go. This is the manager explaining that unless that changes, it will be time to go, and giving the emp
