I know that love of the NHS in the U.K. is a religion but the truth is the quality of cancer care you will receive is lower, there’s less preventative testing, and longer wait times. All of that means you’re way more likely to die of cancer

I for found the gender difference quite surprising. I would not have imagined at the bottom levels of an agrarian society that there was much difference in the risks men and women faced.

Perhaps by “anyone” you mean developers? I can think of innumerable reasons why regular mom and dad users use MacOS over Linux.

Its pretty easy to avoid that if you're prepared. Most lines let you bring on at least 1 bottle of wine or similar per person (which is plenty for us over 3 days). Avoiding expensive cocktails, drinks packages, dining experiences etc m

I'm not sure using CNN and Fox News as examples of how the system should work is a great counterpoint. The US has a massive problem with terrible quality TV and web news sources. The licence fee system at least attempts to create an al

A more accurate headline would be '150k police records accidentally destroyed'. There is a huge difference between accidental deletion and leaving a hard drive full of data on the tube. I'd give the BBC the benefit of the dou

I think they chose 16 because some of their biggest stars are in the 16 to 18 age range (for better or for worse). For example Charli D'amelio, who has 100 million+ followers and has become a celebrity in her own right. I personally ag

I think we should call this disconnect what it is - brainwashing. Americans (and those that consume their media) are told from childhood that they are the only country where it is possible to move from the bottom to the top. Outside observe

>Sure, Europe does better in these statistics, but in the real world, US gives its workers way better odds at getting to the top and that's coming from an European. This quote screams brainwashing by American media to me. Americans

Is there not a government run forecasting service where you are? In the UK the Met office is the only source of whether information I will trust. The rest is click bait.

Doesn’t the 4G Apple Watch support all of your requirements? I suppose if you had to a buy an iPhone to set it up that could be a substantial investment but an iPhone 6S would do the job.

This fascinates me. Is there a website anywhere that is collecting these sorts of use cases? It seems truly mind blowing something as simple as an electric toothbrush would have a processor in it.

Is that likely to get approved in the US? My understanding is that the trial was not good enough to pass the FDA bar.

In real terms though that head start could be significant given how quickly things can get out of control with this virus. The U.K. has been vaccinating for nearly a full month now which accounts for 750,000 of the most vulnerable people. T

Hmm so why Kazakhstan and not China? Is it because the Kazakh market isn't important to their bottom line? I'd love to know how big a market has to be before they play ball with the oppressors.

They only pay £500 if you're already on low income. Is there any basis to your claim that suddenly a lot more people started getting infected? It's my recollection that cases were already rising fast when this was announced.

Is banning them really the solution? People need to be able to carry their stuff. If plastic bags are the best option, thats just the physical reality of the situation. Arbitrarily banning things left and right isn't going to fix that.

The fact that we are even able to realistically compare a CPU in an ultralight laptop with no fan to an i9 is absolutely amazing. To me that would be an upgrade even if performance is a complete wash.
