One note I find the heavy emphasis on the black lines in the design a bit distracting. The colors itself become a bit of a sidenote here. Also I get seasick from the animation when changing colors, would be nice if just the colors were fadi

Another layout improvement I'd do is loose the border around the board and extend the red to the whole page background, also center the board on the page and scale it to the available space. Looks way more fun and playful with the blue

Yeah came here to say this. The different states are almost indistinguishable. I also didn't understand that they where supposed to be holes. I'd make the shadow effect much more subtle and have the holes in the background color s

As an ex smoker I disapprove of the idealizing depiction of cigarettes. Nevertheless I find the project very interesting and wonder if you are willing to share the code?

It's not a small thing as it implicates millions in their daily lives. So a bad design decision on this scale trickes upwards and has huge costs for a society. The points the tweeter made were very well thought out. Everything should a

Epigenetics for example show that certain gene switches are passed on between generations. Rat mothers that experience anxiety pass this on to their offspring. There is this whole lecture on behavioral biology by Stanford Prof Robert Sapols

In a way it might also be knowledge that is passed on between generations. So my parents and grandparents passed on their deep seated insecurity that comes from their experience of war - but as history shows these extreme situations can ret

I can trace my personal issues as a result of my parents experience to their parents experience in WW2 (Germany). My grandfather for example as a teenager had to clear landmines as a prisoner of war. The damage from these experiences lasts

I don't see the need for anyone to shove themselves with trash meat daily. Organic quality meat maybe once a week is definitely affordable.

Macromedia/Adobe Director (1985-2013) was a really cool authoring environment. You could drag and drop animations and interactive experience together really fast. It was an animation software first but had its own scripting language. E

It was actually a pretty cool site. You would reserve one of the free square "tiles" and would only see a thin stripe of the neighboring tile that you'd paint next to. You'd get a png image with something like 10 pixels

Hahaha, thanks. I remembered this site i used to spend time on where people actually collaborated on weird quilt paintings back around 2000 - now this was a lot of fun. Sadly not functional anymore and only as a gallery http://ww

It works completely contrary to what it pretends. There is no creativity and creative collaboration happening here. Everything I draw is turned into a predefined shaped. Everything unique is translated into something generic. I think there

I find it annoying that the site nags me to sign up. This is driving me away immediately. I also ask myself why the images of the designs are so tiny. Not really able to see any details. It seems especially pointless on the shown webdesign

I think you're stepping into a fallacy here. Of course every thought process is bound to biological processes in the brain. So we can see this as some sort of biochemical mapping of our understanding and perception of the world, and ou

Been annoyed about this for a long time. Google still knows about my home address as I have that label set in my Google Maps settings, it just won't let me use it unless I allow them to track all my search history. Wtf. Evil design pat

I think you underestimate the link between physical and mental health. A fit body gives you a different baseline confidence. People react more positive to you. All social things considered, deep down we're all apes, so risk averse beha

Flash should still have its legitimation as an authoring tool. I think the direct approach in which you can throw together a scene or an animation has its value. The tools you use influence design decisions. Of course, technology wise, we s
