Except CNCF ecosystem looks more like open stack these days. A collection of software that half works together and eats up the majority of your time doing undifferentiated ops. Devs should be focusing on the business and growing business me

It doesn’t help that politicians face as much hardship in removing old laws as adding a new one. Leading to us always creating laws and rarely removing them.

“ Without teachers’ bias in favor of girls, the gender gap in choosing a science track would be 12.5% larger in favor of boys.” Does this not mean we have a gender bias towards females in STEM at the education level? If so it’d turn around

The us does not currently have a concentration camp. If they do please let us all know so we can put a stop to it. On the flip side. The CCP has been committing a genocide by UN standards and has previously admitted to organ harvesting.

The arm MacBooks will mean developing ARM code for your server is easier than x86. I highly suspect we’ll see a switch from intel to arm in the server space in next 5-10 years. The cloud vendors have so much to gain by building their own ar

I’d argue they didn’t face an existential threat. Causing the employees to stop focusing on the business. Same thing that brought down intel. Like intel (of the past). You can coast and the money will keep coming in. Up until it doesn’t.

I actually think rent going down in sf will open up a lot of opportunities that wasn’t possible due to cost. So much culture left sf to Oakland due to cost. As SF rent gets cheaper, I suspect we’ll see art, food, and activism jobs come back
