Maybe you're an aspiring entrepreneur for the wrong reason, then. Start a business to solve a problem. If you really build something users like, with a decent market, you will do fine (as will/have the founders of Figma). If you h

There is no way a company Adobe's size should ever be allowed to grow by acquisition. At a certain point that route needs to be cut off forever.

If RCS goes live on all Apple devices in all jurisdictions and that solves the problem then great!

No. Apple given their scale and position in the market should be forced to operate and interoperate with an open standard for messaging. iMessage should no longer allowed to be proprietary and stay part of Apple.

I’d block ads out side of my computer if it was possible, so absolutely need to block all ads in any app.

Mastodon is a different product than what I use Twitter for, but for some use cases and communities seems pretty great. Zero chance of replacing Twitter. Threads is terrible. Not infeasible that it makes it eventually but it’s just so bad I

I assume Pornhub is doing ok (you say it has lots of users). Are you suggesting it would somehow be better with Disney ads?

This all seems so backwards to me. I had cut my use of Twitter by probably >90% and uninstalled the app after they killed 3rd party clients, in a large part because that meant I was now seeing any ads at all. I started paying for Premium

I haven’t used Google as more than an occasional backup for years, and even less since I switched from DuckDuckGo to Kagi a few months back. The more I eliminate anything to do with ads from my life, the better things get,

I agree with that. Government officials and politicians should have effectively no conflicts of interest because they have no real way to seek valid approval from the electorate for them. For companies, if you have investors, employees, and

Can you explain why it would be unethical , if the contracts with those investors do not explicitly state there will be exclusivity? Investors buy shares (or similar), and maybe some other rights or benefits with money. They do this with a

If "AI ethics" means being run by so-called rationalists and Effective Altruists then it has nothing to do with ethics or doing anything for the benefit of all humanity. It would be great to see a truly open and truly human benefi
