I'm going to start spreading this around. It's a comment by someone else who points to an interview of the WeBull CEO and why they had issues. It's pretty clear that this is a process issue, not necessarily a RobinHood is e

While actually a good question, I am reading a bit of snark here. Don't spend your time on anything you don't want to, but if you want to learn about .NET GC then either research the author or research other deep dives into .NET G

This was my biggest take away from this article too. When you have a big project, you have to keep a consistent architecture. You need to keep using the same tools and patterns so that you have cohesion in your code base. The worst thing a

I agree it's not the only thing contributing, but this would be a great place to experiment with those kinds of changes.

I've been using DDG for a while now as my primary search. I've found it does a much more literal searches, but doesn't always interpret the intent of my sentence as well as Google does. I find myself using the !g at times wh

I come to HN for fairly civil conversation on difficult topics. If we can't do it here, I honestly don't know where else I can do that. I agree that it's become a flame war, and IMO part of the issue is that at times people

middleclick - Your original comment was fairly clearly against HN guidelines for posting. Your comment about votes is also against their guidelines (I feel for you I've broken this from time to time myself). If you'd commented on

I'm guessing it would be more practical to make a method by which dang could easily reinstate a users' messages/account after receiving the required legal documentation. I also assume it only applies to Polish citizens, fili

It's legal for entities outside the government to censor things. IANAL so if I'm wrong let me know. But my understanding is that censorship is perfectly fine for any company.

Good point. To kind of latch onto what you said, I'd say that there is 60% of those 74 million who would have benefited from a Twitter ban which was well justified. They are more on the fence and can be persuaded by the tides of big

I feel like after the twin towers were blown up. It was less than 100 individuals that were the impetuous for one of the worst pieces of legislation I know of. The Patriot Act. Which was voted on in a complete state of fear. Creating an

I know Trump supporters, and even they (the ones I know) don't justify his tweets. If Twitter had used numerous previous tweets, I could personally go and argue with those supporters and feel like I was making headway. I don't ar

This is gasoline on the fire. When banning someone like donald trump you need to have a great press release for justification. You need to point to something that people who are in the middle will read and think, yeah that makes sense, I&#

Restricting peoples access to an app in the app store that is also a website is... an exercise in futility. What it does do is further back the extremists idea that they are being marginalized by big tech while others aren't. It is an
