Outer Wilds I think has a great story, and is a modern evolution of a Myst point and click sort of thing with more physics. The base game I think is suitable for kids but may be difficult to play, the DLC on the other hand is pretty creepy

As a puzzle game I think it's one of the best, certainly I became totally obsessed with that aspect of it. It's very atmospheric too and has a great sense of place.

Yeah this is how we do it... Even with terrabytes of data it seems to be pretty efficient and robust, and easy to just keep up the replicating version until you're satisfied it all looks good.

Naughty Dog historically disagreed with this [0], plenty of games these days are developed in languages with GC but it is a performance trade off. For maximum performance any Lisp is probably not the way to go but I don't think it'

We make pretty heavy use of Grobid at scite ( https://scite.ai ) to parse PDFs in order to extract and classify the citation contexts. A great piece of software and I think without it we would be hard pressed to do what we do.

We had many issues with pipenv and migrated all our projects to Poetry, which I would recommend over pipenv for solving this problem.
