They could have implemented the other types of uuid generation, as well as having the standard type. Then evolve. UUIDs rarely get new versions. I don’t think it’d be too much to expect Go to stay relatively current on that.

It’s kind of ridiculous to argue against UUID being part of the standard package for a language largely aimed at servers. At that point why even have any crypto functions or any of the bigger stuff it already has if the argument is 3rd part

Israel doesn't want/need Iran's land. It wants the regime toppled, and the country split apart 10 ways so the next regime is smaller and more checked.

Fair deal for the employees but hard to compete against smart, well resourced people who are working 996. Everything with AI is moving so fast that moving slower makes you irrelevant.

Why not use SwiftUI or whatever is native to the platform?

Hard to compete in an environment that’s anti-996 and the pay is so much less.

Good ideas can come from anywhere. Shutting yourself off only does a disservice. You don’t need to replicate 100% of another society to recognize individual strengths. https://www.technologyreview.com/2023/08/09&#x

Would be a nightmare to implement and achieve the goal, but I have to say I think it’s more right than wrong. All of the data is very clear about the harms. China has restrictions for social media and screen time for kids — how do they impl

Sure it does. If it’s many small dies on a wafer, then imperfections don’t ruin the entire batch; you just bin those components. If the entire wafer is a single die, you have much less tolerance for errors.
