Don't you feel like you should get a license? Regardless of wether you're legally supposed to. The sheer quality of programming they put out. Buy a license.

When I was in US (Palo Alto) I think you could get comcast or excite (Y! @home or something). Pretty sure the choice was limited to 2.

Good example. As for the spin, I think it's good to give people choice. For example if people want to get a cheaper internet connection that's watered down version without 'premium' websites which cost extra, then that's fair enough. I don'

Exactly. I can get my Internet connection from 100+ companies. In the US, as far as I've seen, it's 2 companies if you're lucky. In the UK, the market will decide what people want from their internet connection, and customers have more than

idk if you really associate Facebook with quality engineering quite yet. Facebook is often broken with rough edges, odd engineering decisions all over, and quirks galore.

That's because all those methods achieve different things. Email is completely different to SMS, which is completely different to blog posts, forums, etc They all have totally different dynamics. A single unified system would be horrible.

If you don't care about the standard, you can use / * * / to comment out stuff in JSON. It's a shame this wasn't in the spec. Along with making quotes optional for keys. It's a real shame that the native JSON object, and the spec missed out

That image is a bit funny... "at 5pm Eastern Time we point our LOICs at Tumblr. Their IP address is: 174.120.238.130" What sort of insane webapp would only have 1 IP? Either 4chan are terribly naive, or Tumblr are. A dig lookup seems to sug

I still don't get it really. People don't just use google to find stuff to buy, they use it to find information. I'd be surprised if the idea lives up to the hype. Heck I'd be amazed if Facebook can make any kind of inroads in email.

In what version of adsense does it not use an iframe? It's always used an iframe, dynamically generated from js. The top ad on scribd actually has about 5 iframes. No idea why my original comment stands a 0. Please do your research people.

Most flash ads would be inside an iframe on another domain outside your control :/ So unless I've missed something, I don't see how this helps. No amount of javascript can modify flash elements in an iframe outside of the security box.

I'd never heard of it, it's free (hard to monetize), seriously, I'm not sure Google are that worried. There'll always be some hot new fad. I don't think Google would be doing any good getting into the game of creating hot new fads.
