While I truly respect your credentials, I disagree 100% with your conclusion and think DoT will win out. Should be fun to visit this thread in a year, just to see.

Not saying you're wrong, but Walmart acquired Jet 4 years ago. If their current web offering is the end result, I'd say they overpaid by about... 3 billion dollars.

I've used Mint for years. 20/mo for more data than I'll ever use. Not one complaint.

This skips the steps of choosing and installing a JVM, which is a bit daunting. My distro gives like 4 different versions. And worse, some applications only run on certain versions. By default, there is no 'java' command.

I don't understand Java apologists. I'm not saying Java is bad. Quite the opposite, it's one of the most optimized systems to date. But if you cannot admit Java apps are a pain to deploy, or, at least harder than deploying

> What a bizarre comment. If they leave, are they your enemy for life then? I'm not sure that's fair. There's a lot of room between friend and enemy, here. When breaking up in a relationship under typical circumstances,

GCP and the little project called 'Android' would probably make Google the leader, by far.

It's not really fair, nor professional, to insult someone for having a different viewpoint than you. Your situation is like many others, and obviously not ideal. The system that you were using was/is blatantly rife with abuse, pl

I'm a big Bowie fan, but this isn't that notable imho. During this time, there were hundreds if not thousands of 'ISP's springing up. Even Kmart of all people had an ISP.

It depends on what you want to support. Browsers for example have been adding intermediates to their cert stores, so if you only want to support known new browsers, you only need to send the server certificate and nothing else...assuming

My company moved from all on prem, to all in AWS. Having used both, I'd much rather go back to on prem. I did architecture, capacity planning, system tuning, deployments, etc. I knew everything about all of them, and treated them as

It sounds like a good plan, but I can't see it working here. USA in general has strong individualism, I guess it's called. Basically the idea of look out for yourself, and screw everyone else. It's why you still can't
