So, my wife has been making bread a while and it was always 'chewy'. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but there was no crust to the bread. After researching, the consensus was that the lid helped keep the steam in and

Thanks for this. I'm extremely blessed to have a wife that enjoys making bread, and makes the best sourdough I've ever tasted. It's mostly in her head but from the notes I've pieced together it seems close to the weekd

Because in this case, the measure is 0 percent effective. People work together every day. This virus spreads super easily. Telling people to stay home once they show symptoms does absolutely nothing to stop communal spread. If it did we

How are temperature checks useful? I thought I'd read that people are asymptomatic for up to 2 weeks, during which time they can spread it. If that is the case, temperature checks do absolutely nothing to stop the spread here...

Taking your hand off the steering wheel isn't so bad. It's loss of attention, even for 1 second, that's extremely dangerous. Touch screens make you look away from the road. Knobs and buttons do not. However, jamming them

You know, while I like stories like these, I find them equally frustrating because there doesn't seem to be any sources. Just Google the ignorant French doctor's name, for example. It reminds me of my college psychology class. Ou

What's with all the "I figured this out by myself..." comments? The article says as much, that people figure this out themselves. It's just giving some insight into why that works...

Nah, I think these are resells. But I read a post earlier that claimed to be a machinist doing finishing work on parts for a Tesla ventilator, so I do think we'll see them soon.

As an additional data point, I live in the area and they just furloughed a lot of employees last week. Not sure the exact percentage, though.

What about cargo? Better yet illegal cargo we can't seem to get a grasp on. Or illegal border crossings? It only takes a single thing/person to kick off a chain reaction that gets us back to here.

This is good info. Are you suggesting that most people would get 3 tests...a confirmation, then after x weeks 2 negatives, skewing the number potentially up to max ~66% testing negative even for people with the virus?

I don't get it, because these measures can't last forever. Let's pretend USA completely extreme isolates...step foot outside and you get arrested. Fine, the virus disappears in a month or two. Then what? Unless every sing

Please remember that greater than 90 percent of people who have covid like symptoms test negative. So while there's a chance you had it and recovered, it's very small. Stay safe and assume you're still vulnerable.

Because to me, the consumer, I can't think of a single time automation replacing humans has been better. Self checkouts suck for anything more than a handful of items, especially compared to a well trained cashier/bagger combo.

It's obvious. It requires the type of collaboration you can only get in person to figure out how to sell home phone, oversell data, mess up billing, charge people for devices they don't have, constantly spam customers, and most i

Even before the 1.5T, the fed has been pumping imaginary money, especially to the repo market hoping they'd get it back. I disagree that this isn't the biggest recessionary event. Never in my lifetime, or even my parents, has EVE

I think your last point is perhaps most important. The way the fed is printing cash, I feel the dollar would have absolutely tanked were it not the dominant world currency.

I'm betting on the former. As dangerous as it is to basically blanket call the media liars as Trump has done, there are just enough cases of it being correct to keep you scratching your head. Journalism of today is little more than G
