I really love watching how people's tone change after posting a negative comment here and getting a personal response from Gary himself. The is exactly what Gary talks about doing in his books - glad to see it's effective when put into acti

Stop visiting HN so much. I recently started a routine of only visiting HN once per week - and only on the weekend. I use the 100 point threshold version to gather up all of the interesting articles I missed throughout the week. http://new

"Good chance"? Come on. In most of your cases it's pretty clear going into it how much risk you run of any of those things happening to you. And for most people that risk is almost 0. And as others have already responded: there's always ris

We saw a huge boost in number of reviews, overall rating, and sales when we started to solicit users in TapTyping (went from 3.5 to 4.5 stars). We made sure to only ask people once they had typed 2300 characters which equates to 3-4 speed t

What's the argument here? That Apple isn't entitled to a slice of revenue generated on its own platform? I missed the part where the author explained why this is a reasonable stance to take...

I'm thinking of sticking around on AT&T long enough with my iPhone for a little while. Who knows, the mass iPhone user migration to Verizon might make AT&T's service halfway decent!

Do you think it's short sighted and just plain dumb to _initially_ focus on the one platform that gives the highest chance of going viral? I don't. I think this is why Instagram didn't make Android a priority right off the bat.

There is still room for a new type of viewer. Currently the only way to browse Instagram is by what has been recently popular.

I quit my full time job last August. As a Type 1 Diabetic it's pretty important for me to not let my group coverage lapse. I'm paying $491.00 /mo for Cobra (10% more than what my employer was paying for my coverage). Because I live in Calif

At $29 per copy and assuming by grossing they mean their share after apple takes its 30% cut, that's 50,000 copies sold. Amazing success!
