That's a great idea, be sure to mail them about it at info@archive.org!

Now look at it this way: The Wayback Machine is probably the most prominent part of the Internet Archive. Does it handle websites that rely on Javascript?

HN, Google SERP or blog frontpages are not archives.

I disagree. An archive should primarily be about finding, not discovering (ugh, words, and I am no native speaker). What I mean is that randomly browsing is nice but not what an archive is mostly about.

If you click the exit beta button there is a form.

Just click "exit beta" in the top right corner and please leave feedback.

I wholeheartedly agree. Interfaces like that can be nice for initial browsing but I am a user who knows what she wants and I want efficiency and lots of metadata.

Awww why... This looks incredibly cluttered. Infinite scrolling is a terrible idea in an _archive_. If you use the list view instead, you get a very hard to scan "3 narrow lines for 1" design. The site is very broken if you don&#x

A gazillion of websites that are run by collectives, communities, hobbyists and like-minded people are a big counterpoint to this. The internet got big on them, not commercial interests.

Clicked through ~20 of them and the analysis was completely off in most cases.

Comment curation? You can show shadowbanned people's contributions by setting showdead to true in your profile. I haven't seen too much admin/mod abuse lately.

Your post is a bizarre response to a simple list of questions. And the "go write your own then" is kind of offensive.

If you prefer privacy and control over your own tools, there are the FLOSS http://specto.sourceforge.net/ or the free(as in no cost)ware http://www.cmcode.co.uk/webmon/ for Windows

Thanks, I had no idea about that. I would never actively browse Medium as it has burned a "many big words with shallow baity content" warning in my brain in the past.

Some indicator would be great. Maybe even of "cursors in the earlier levels that might come soon". Is there branching? I was stuck with 3 people in a room where we needed 5-6 (or super good clickers) to proceed and gave up waiting

I use mtr nowadays. It's not ping but a traceroute that updates as it goes. I find it much more useful than a plain ping in most cases.

I found the second book of Name of the Wind really badly written and juvenile sex fantasy. Let me recommend the Stormlight Archive instead, fantastically written and imaginative world: http://brandonsanderson.com/books/

This seems highly dependent on Javascript for displaying its (actually static) content. As someone who likes his notebook fan to stay calm and not have websites shove obnoxious things into her face and thus browses with JS off by default, p
