I don't care, I said it tongue in cheek to illustrate how close minded many HNers are when it comes to health and how to improve one's own health without reliance on pharmaceuticals and other "modern medicine" inventions

Why is that unfortunate? What would clicking a downvote button achieve? I appreciate that instead you are taking the time to make a comment. To your point, life (and by extension, us humans) is simpler than you think, and far simpler than &

No. I live in the desert too (Arizona), and do two 8-day dry fasts every year and I'm still around, healthy as ever. Oh, and needing to drink any large amount of water is bad for you and a sign of your body not getting the right food.

As you should be, so do your own research, hopefully before a disease shows up and the forces around you (doctors, friends, family) push you towards mainstream treatment options that at best will put you on a lifelong symptom prevention reg

Do I get back the 3,000 HN Karma points I lost to downvotes after years of suggesting fasting as a viable treatment for a whole host of "diseases"? One day people will see it as obvious as "smoking is bad for you". One d

Almost like Twilio's SMS price, but in the real world SMS in the US is ~$0.0015 (outbound) and free for inbound and that's without trying very hard, can get even lower. Granted it doesn't come with all the ready-made tooling

Why not go with bare metal from say OVH for this type of service? Running a free VoIP service on top of a cloud provider is kind of silly, not just from a cost perspective, but also having shared resources for your voice/WebRTC media s

This is their official rate limit for the FIFO type SQS. Although I bet the Amazon folks know a couple people around the office who can up that limit :)

What is wrong with our society? We need AI to tell us how to be healthy? Is this real? Sometimes I feel like I live in the twilight zone. PSA for anyone with a disease that man and corporate picked a name for - you are feeding yourself towa

Nope. There is very little money in true exercise. The profits come from unhealthy things such as protein supplements, harmful body building, gyms that promote unhealthy exercise routine, etc.

You can call it what you want. I've been in the field for 20 years and have seen many hundreds of people cure so-called lifelong diseases. But sure, wait on the medical world to admit it, because they have all the incentive in the worl

Exactly. Fasting cures diabetes as well as a host of many other "incurable" "diseases". But there is no money in fasting, so our messed up world continues to reject it as a valid solution.

Diabetes can already be cured, without the sick concept of a gastric bypass as some sort of a solution. Type 2 diabetes can be completely reversed following a 14 to 40 day water fast or a series of short 4-7 day dry fasts. This is complete

It's amazing to me that people still believe high blood pressure is some lifelong ailment you need to learn to cope with. Of all "diseases" it is pretty much the easiest to fix. It is well known that as short as a 8-10 day wa
