I presume that the word 'not' in the title is making the assumption that these changes were made by the banks to reduce fraud. Why would they do that? I know they say that's what they are trying to do, but they have little vested interest i

Doesn't work on my HTC Wildfire running 2.1. Demo page loads okay, and I can switch theme, although it's a bit flaky. However, none of the buttons go to their linked page, it just sits there on the original form. the buttons glow green to a

Took me two weeks to find a .com that I could use recently. I always sleep on my choice before purchase too, so no quick grabs. It was hard work, and I went down some weird alleys looking. Ultimately, I think the system is very flawed and d

I'm in the UK, but this issue is very much a European one relative to the UK, as most things are these days. Albeit that your average man-in-the-street Brit tries to ignore the EU, or simply blame it. Here, we are quite well organized. Ther

Don't get angry. Get even. Software patents are a political problem. They are a very live political problem. Lobby. You can change things. But not by getting mad here, but by lobbying your representatives in whatever parliaments, senates, c

Well, that put numbers around my recent decision to return from Spain to the UK. I love Spain to bits, but doing business there, legally, is utterly impossible even when fluent in the language. It's very easy to do business there illegally

Why would anyone engaging in an online community want to partake of an elitist "power structure". Okay, other than power junkies whose world is embedded in this kind of delusional existence. Most folk don't want that insidious role-playing

I've been testing Fedora for the past couple of weeks. My reason for considering a switch is my tiring with the serious regressions that I've encountered with every Ubuntu release. I know, the grass is always greener, but I feel I ought to

As well as the 10.10 laptop mentioned elsewhere, I have a laptop on 9.04, which is rock-solid. I won't be upgrading it. It will likely reach its eol on 9.04. Most stable and reliable release since 5.10, in my experience.

I would suggest folk don't upgrade to it. They are releasing with a beta version of an Nvidia driver that they switched to only this week. I've been running the 10.10 beta since it was announced, and this beta driver black-screens here unfo

Useful article. I agree that testing UI on the physical device is essential, and obviously faster, than the emulators (though they can be skinned). Once we have better automated testing tools, functional testing will be much easier. Fightin

I agree. Eat your own dog food. Use your own API. If you aren't doing that, in most spaces, then there's more friction to scaling. Course technically it doesn't _have_ to be REST, but that's the buzz of the now.

I updated this spreadsheet so that the coloured fields can be manipulated to reflect your needs. You need to download it to do this, as if there is a way to allow this on GoogleDocs, I couldn't find it.
