Baywatch was a great TV show. Maybe you don't like it. Millions all over the world do.

AFAIK, triple ko games are usually played again, and they are extremely rare.

Adrenaline rushes are addictive, and free. Enjoy them! Being terrified on stage is what makes me want to do it. Once you lose this feeling, being on stage loses its appeal. Trust me, it happened to me. It sucks.

I could get a 60k USD a year remote thing but I would be out of the system (I mean, now I am an Argentinian employee with all the rights it entails). For 60k, it is not worth it. For 100k it would be worth to solve all the issues associated

Not the original commenter, but this is the situation in Argentina. I would love to do a remote gig and get 100k a year. I am a programmer with over 20 years of experience and I can program professionally in over 10 different programming la

In Argentina, silos have been mostly replaced by silo bags with grain inside. Like this one: https://agroverdad.com.ar/2019/04/como-lograr-en-8-pasos-un-...

They legally ban them. If you are catched using one you go to jail.

That's easy. If spacex does not respect the ban, China will fire anti-satellite missiles to the spacex constellation.

I think full self driving will be achieved when infrastructure and laws are adapted to it. We already have the tech to pull it off. A clear example of this is metro line 14 in Paris (it has no driver). We don't need trains, just proper

I think it shows that employers are a cartelized oligopsony. That's why they can get away with paying different salaries based on anything but performance (in this case, location)

I don't get why companies don't just hire in the cheap job markets paying a little more than market price there but far less than Silicon Valley, instead of hiring in Silicon Valley. Specially for remote work! Can someone who does

I know. It means that the only commits left are the ones that originally where merge requests, and you loose the rest of the history.

If you squash all the merge requests, you get ONLY merge commits.

Yes they do. And it is frustrating. Specially frustrating when you ar the new guy and the history of the code does not tell what happened.

I never understood the need to squash commits (or rebase). If you do merge requests and use merge commits (like GitHub or gitlab do). A "nice" history is a small script away. It should even be a part of the GitHub/gitlab gui.

Almost everyone is bilingual in Barcelona. They teach Catalan and Spanish at school, and both are spoken by the general population. How did they get non-bilingual people there?

This is the kind of narrative I expect when the powers that be want to separate a part of a country. This is clearly an attempt to separate Russia from its Siberian wealth. For a textbook example of getting a part of a country via generatin

In Argentina, same pay for the same job is a constitutional right. If they hire someone here they would get a lawsuit asking for Silicon Valley payment.
