I hear this argument all the time but this is not that. Industrial Revolution created tons and ton of new jobs in addition to the ones it removed. This would basically just remove most jobs and create very few, extremely specialized jobs th

That’s not a good argument because what if you stole something from a store ALL the way in the back covered in dust that literally no one even knew about. Would you say that’s not theft because it’s not a loss of value?

I agree ideologically but intellectually this isn’t true. A movie ticket is a license to watch the movie. If you sneak in, would anyone say that’s legal? Piracy is the same thing. Buying a video game these days is a contract for a license t

Sure they impact it, but are they the cause? Are they the entire story? Are cultural differences to just be ignored?

No they wouldn’t. They COULD indicate systemic problems but it is just as likely they indicate cultural problems. It’s incorrect to just assume it’s “the system” and not helpful to anyone.

I’m really worried this will become common practice. We MUST fight against this otherwise they will take away open source from us. Making an integration to work with devices you own is NOT ILLEGAL. I’m happy to contribute to a qualified and

I agree! And I think we could if we had very harsh punishments. We are way too lenient on crime. Steal? Life in jail. Litter? Year long sentence. Assault? Life in jail. Criminals are going to commit crime and there is absolutely no evidence
