We have been using Zoom four 4 years now. And it has simplified conferences enormously. Sometimes a few of our customers insist on using their own corporate mandated systems. Half of these times there is a struggle to get the meeting going

Indeed! There is a certain thoughtfulness in a code/build/flash/test cycle in the embedded world, which Pigweed seems to see as a problem and tries to fix. I can (and often do) write code for many hours (sometimes days) witho

That doesn't take away from the point that there probably exists a non-zero number of people who could convert $500B into something of the scale of Google.

RIP Larry Tesler. I rather feel a worm for not being aware of him till today. Nevertheless, hearing the many personal stories here on HN of his work, humility and graciousness, make me thankful for him and his tribe that have made the softw

My father passed away suddenly when I and my younger brother were still studying, 29 years ago this week. It took us a decade to pick up the pieces and I don't think we ever became whole again. I think the question of suddenness vs a s

It's a sad story that I remember from years ago. I wonder how much the rigid rules that France has on employee firing contribute to this. I am aware of an employer's view in a different case where (in a small company) an employee
