Flash was a nightmare on mobile and made pretty much half of the internet unusable on a smartphone (yes, half. Remember those menus in flash?). It was also indeed full of security flaws that Adobe was suuuper slow to patch, if at all. Eye c

Sorry to hear about your accident! What happened, if I may?

Eh, I feel ya. Losing mobility is hard. I also went from very sporty to "my back hurts" in no time. Damn I wish I could fix it. Just like you, I'm also hoping for progress. Good luck to you!

Oh. I need this. I really do. Not for my knee, but for my ankle. I've been waiting for this. I broke my ankle 4 years ago, destroyed a few things, among which the cartilage between my heel and the bone just above. It hurts when I take

Well of course. I can't imagine any country would have identified a new variant before it has a chance to spread. Because how would they? This is similar to the situation we had back in March 2020. The virus was already present at lea

Not sure when this xkcd was released, but music is now drm-free on iTunes. You can just copy it around and it'll still play.

Ah yes, encoutered that one before, for my "Guesstimate" app. Shake phone to estimate development time. They didn't seem to like the idea.

Well, it's like going through a bad neighborhood in your expensive car to show off your new expensive watch. Not your fault you got robbed, but there may have been a way to avoid it.

I agree that being on-call is work, but I find the comparisons to other jobs misguided. For example, installing a swimming pool or building a car is a lot of work / resources for the "setup" that has to be paid for. However,

Yeah, legitimate interest toggles have become a nightmare recently. Dozens of teeny tiny switches to click, it's infuriating. Let alone the fact that "selling my data to make money" hardly qualifies ad "legitimate"

I disagree. Returning to my notes is the most important thing I do. I just don't have enough space in my working memory for all the content we go through per day, all the different topics. It's fine if you handle a thing or two, b

I agree and disagree. Bikes are the best transportation for small trips. No questionning it. Unless you can't use a bike because something's wrong with your body. Then you need a car. For some people, it's obvious: they have

IPv4 adresses fit in a standard 4byte integer, that might be a reason. Quite frankly, if they didn't allocate full /24 to single entities (including localhost...), we might still have enough addresses left.
