> That's like claiming only mechanics are interested in what engine a car is running - regular users only care about the seat and steering wheel. That's probably true for quite a lot of people in those categories.

It may be heterodox, but it’s what it means to me, and I’m sure I’m not completely alone in feeling so.

> "not created by geological processes" Did life begin with the geological process of protein chains forming in geothermal vents? I don't know, but it begs whether it is natural or not.

> We are, truly, Of Nature, not Above Nature. What gives humans the special designation of their byproducts being unnatural?

That's exactly what's being—albeit atypically—advocated for here: That even steaks are a naturally occurring byproduct of humans and cows because humans and cows naturally exist.

When birds make nests outside of their base anatomical functions, are they "unnatural"?

> We are, truly, Of Nature, not Above Nature. This sentiment has always made me question when people say things are "unnatural", "artificial", or "synthetic": If we ourselves are of nature, and these things

I still work remote, but go to a co-working space most days even if it's just half a day. Getting dressed, out of the house, and seeing real people face-to-face is a huge boost to my mental health.

All words are general-purpose, but when we arrange them they adopt new meaning. I'm not nitpicking, and just pointing out that the meaning of those words as arranged may not be perceived as the author originally intended. Alternatively

Agreed 100%. 10.6 is arguably the best version of Mac OS ever. It gave us 64bit GCD and was highly optimized for the hardware of the time. Native software of the time flys on the build listed above.

Can it truly be irrelevant? Our so called society may be modern based on some subjective chronocentric premise, but our biology and the sociological patterns from which they are derived are largely just as they've been for millennia.
