One of the interviewers was augmentative and combative in their line of questioning as if they were playing "bad cop". I won't go into details, but I was given a hypothetical engineering situation that just wasn't reali

I interviewed in-person for this company early 2019 and they were very rude. The interview was going fine from my perspective, but they decided to cut the interview short and pass on me mid-interview. This is the only time this has ever h

My theory is that keto pairs well with intermittent fasting because it helps curb food cravings during fasts. Sure, you can do IF without keto, but you might have a difficult time with it and might be more susceptible to cheating.

Keto and intermittent fasting have changed my life. Over the past several months I've gone from 285 to 250 pounds and feel amazing. I don't feel hungry and meals satiate me enough to forego snacking. I feel mental clarity while

What are the fact about this guy? What work did he do that's so objectionable?

Yeah, I definitely think they could have handled it better. Mainly, what rubs me as intellectually dishonest to condemn this one person without knowing him because he used to be in law enforcement.

You don't think you're blowing this one instance out of proportion at all? This is just a one person who works at a hobby computer company.

More discussion here for those interested: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33907982 IMHO, it seems the only story here is that people are discriminating against this guy because he's a cop. They know nothing abou

That's obviously not good and we should speak up when these things happen because that sounds unlawful. The point is that we have the freedom here to stand up and say that, and in other countries you wouldn't even have that much.

In the West I would say it feels paranoid, but in certain east Asian or Middle-eastern countries (that will remain nameless) I wouldn't ask questions in the first place. Thankfully I'm in the former.

And what is wrong with this exactly? Are you concerned that this guy is going to survey people without anyone's knowledge? Are you that paranoid?
