That is true. Thanks for pointing it out. My point is that outside of the techlabs, Detroit culture is very bland. Moving from tech to automotive is a big culture shock.

I die a little every time a Type R gets stolen. They are amazing cars. Its awful when people use them to modify their lesser chassis.

Where are these tons of jobs? People often mention them but they never point to any real examples. Just curious...

True. Plus its not like he will have an issue finding a job somewhere else (if not starting his own company with VC money). The thing Detroit doesn't get is that tech has a culture that is bound to geography. They used to have the same

They can use anything as Long as the code meets the requirements. But having one official tool makes it easy to work together (in our case).

We needed a good standard setup that fit our needs. People can opt to use something else as long as their code meets the style guidelines. But its easier to use the same tool. We share tips and tricks a lot. That way we improve our workflow

Me too. I was a bit skeptic at first. Been a long time vim user but wanted to try something new. I now use it to code Python (I write a lot of it). It works very nicely. So much that I'm in the process of making it the official company

No need to rewrite if you have a good codebase. Just go upgrade one version at a time until you reach your target version. Its not too bad.

Thanks for sharing the link. It was great to see where some of my favorite childhood games were made. 90s Capcom will always have a place in my heart.

What about PTSD developed in non-combat zones? Or people who develop it and are not even in war zones? Do you know if there is any information on that? Not trying to start a flame war. Just interested in the PTSD thing itself.
