Devils advocate here: use select menus to reduce the amount of support tickers from users. The html form version of the automated telephone menu.

Likewise. I use for set and forget services. Once a Go application has been properly tested it runs quietly like a mainframe in the corner of a datacenter.

Its probably not public yet. The mystery does help with marketing. Keeping people guessing is an age old tactic. Either way I'm interested.

Its ok to set yourself apart. But for some reason this feels very app.net in a way. Not to disrespect the projects or ceeators but the scope and ambitions were rather big.

The scope of the project is big. It mentions gmail, ifft and others. The api integrations for the third parties is measured in terms of years due to breaking changes and sheer amount of work. How is the urbit team managing that?

The demo is really slick. The app does feel better than Google calendar. What was it built with? :)

I mean, this goes against community rules, but gotta say it: bravo! Perfect setup and delivery. :)

There is no one story. Just experience. I don't really announce projects unless I intend to release a BETA or if I'm willing to make the failure of the project public. Don't confuse this with a fear of failure. Its more in

Too many clocks counting down gives the impression of a high failure rate. Failure is fine. Problem is when you publicly continue to fail as an organization. Public opinion goes negative. For a publicly traded company public opinion is impo

OT: A good way to explore more about vertical indoor farming is playing the game Minecraft on a public server (the reddit server (nerd.nu) is good). You will see many working examples that will simply blow your mind away.

You can argue that they are trying 1000 things and 999 can fail as long as that 1 succeeds - but I don't think this is generating a good public view of them. That is a real problem. Organizations (not exclusive to Google) seem to qui

Yes,that seems to be correct. I do wish the business talk would die a little so other stuff would blossom. This forum makes people money so its actively gamed. Though that might be in sync with its origins. Dunno, just an old fart speaking.

Good points. I certainly see HN as something too business focused (understandable given its roots as Startup News). For example, the community around Hackaday seems to be more to what the past generation had (personal opinion). Computer

Good point to bring up. After all, responsive design is about accessibility. I'm currently redoing my website and you've stumped me. :)

I don't think responsive includes printers, but I can surely be wrong. I've come to treat that as "print" styles. Which not every website has or needs.

Strange how the website did not render properly on mobile for me. Is a responsive website part of perceived legitimacy?
