Thanks for this amazing feedback and trying it out! Yes, Pads are like the group or tab, and sites the individual asset. Right now when you hit new pad, it just fires a window prompt which may get blocked lol - need to swap this out for in-

Hey HN, random hack project from the weekend that I thought I’d share. Super POC, 5h50m according to Wakatime, not all of the buttons work, code is a bit of a mess but relatively lightweight. Next.js with material-ui. Currently not responsi

Hah, picturing an IDE plugin that auto swaps a couple random keywords or characters after last save to always give you a fresh syntax error when getting started! Whack-a-mole reverse linter, the next big thing...

A short moment of quiet introspection, wherever or whenever, which usually results in deep appreciation for both the moment and my life as a whole. Also, really good espresso.

Follow up questions: 1) how did the conversation come about? Who brought up cryptocurrency in the discussion? Did you ask him how it was going on a random phone call, or did he call you explicitly alert you to the issue? 2) how old is your

I hear you, and I go through the same cycle myself, albeit seemingly not quite as extreme from your explanations. It still sucks. I spread myself too thin. I noticed you essentially said “I do well at work, then do well at personal projects

If your company decided that your employment was no longer in the best interest of that same ongoing project, do you think they would blink before letting you go? No, it’s just business. It’s not your project, it’s the company’s project, an

Are you gonna build something to solve this problem? I’d be interested in collaborating if you are and would like a hand. I’ve had a domain name ready for this exact project for a couple years.

I use the code-server project just fine, and it has worked great for me. Seems like the white screen issue is a common problem. Have you tried something like this? https://github.com/cdr/code-server/issues/122

Why don’t you just link to the specific episode landing page on their site, as opposed to directly to the raw video file? Then you’re more of an “affiliate” as opposed to a thief. “Derived” urls from publicly available JSON? BS because the

We aren’t talking about just any given instances of self-prescribed injections. Are you trying to make this about drug use or something? We are specifically talking about the COVID-19 vaccine vs the virus itself. Stop moving the goalposts o

I did directly address your very first trope: that you claim it’s solely a decision for yourself, when it’s not. As for the rest of your complaints, I can’t manage to find the patience or empathy to respond in as productive of a manner as o

Agreed, just give me like 2-5mbps and I actually have a chance to get work done. 600kbps is nearly unusable on the modern web.

Verizon drops you to 600kbps after the first 15GB, and then further deprioritizes your traffic from there after you hit 22GB. See https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-plan-unlimited-faqs/ FAQs 6+7

I think Verizon throttles you down to 600kbps, not mbps [1]. It’s 2021, so ridiculous. [1] https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-plan-unlimited-faqs/ (FAQ #6)

That’s a good point, I think that makes sense. Maybe not a good idea for larger releases like you said, but yeah for bug patches, why wouldn’t I want those. That’s fair.

Thanks for elaborating, yes, I think we probably just disagree on that part. What if someone upgrades and they just don’t like the new functionality of 3.0.2 and they want to go back to 3.0.1 just because? This idea that bug-free releases w
