It's amazing that we have accepted this user interface for as long as we have. Imagine if touching your paper notebook the wrong way could accidentally erase it or share it with your mom.

I like learning about these legacy systems precisely because we are past them. They are no longer being extended. What I learn about e.g. 6502 today will be 100% applicable 10 years from now. I don't have that confidence with modern sy

It's pretty easy to trade your BTC for any altcoin on an exchange, and then trade it back. I bet there will be automated, decentralized exchanges to do it, too.

This is a great point. Many comments are noting that Carapella's map doesn't jibe with history books or government records or even local lore. But all of these sources tell the story of the victor. We may never know the truth, but

Even if it were possible to take the life of a sentient being "humanely," trying to do so is not sustainable. You can't meet the demand for meat and still treat these animals with respect. So this product is aimed at people w

The entire endeavor is unethical, from choosing to raise chickens to slaughtering a parade of mammals. None of this is necessary for the well-being of someone who "spends all her hard-earned money on overpriced coffee and pizza."

This is a horror story. This is how she dealt with the first animal: > I had to ram the blade of the shovel into the head of that animal about 30 times before it actually died. And the second: > I emptied an entire barrel full of shot
