To be clear, this is actually a very small amount of plastic. Let's say a roof is 300 square meters; that amounts to < 2 cubic centimeters of plastic. I would guess that there are examples of much larger consumers of plastic.

So that's definitely a limitation, but I wouldn't call it an issue --- this would have plenty of application!

I fell in love with this idea when it first came out! Here is the first demonstration of it a couple of years ago: http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v515/n7528/abs/nature13...

This, unfortunately, is not true. Unfortunate cause I think great things would happen if it were that easy. It's also super simple to understand, which is at least part of why people cling to it so tightly. There is a huge amount of sc

How would you recommend searching for those sorts of roles that aren't just cog-in-a-machine but require a good bit of technical ability and creativity on the job? No offense, but if you look at most job listings (even on hacker news),

At the risk of sounding cliche', just do work at something you enjoy. If you think there will be valuable knowledge in the degree certificates, go for them. If you have a cool idea you want to explore, go for it.
