I think you can probably customise Kubuntu as well; e.g. I always do remove the Ctrl+F4 key mapping from KDE so I get the "usual" Windows MDI behaviour.

Sometimes I think that we should really reconsider the way we allow people to use computers. You need a license to drive a car, and IMHO perhaps it should be the same with computers - at least the more complex systems - this would solve a l

Agreed. It's so annoying to see parked domains, yet it's so easy to setup parking with sedo and the likes. I once had a site, but didn't renew registration, and guess what? It's been "successfully parked" by so

I went through a similar adventure last summer, when Google abruptly suspended my Merchant Center feed (BTW we are AdWords customers since 2006). After ~1 month, I eventually succeeded in talking to someone who apologised and immediately re

Love the concept. BTW I'm about to start a new linux-friendly hardware shop here in Italy (more geared towards laptops and desktop workstations - any suggestions?) - it's refreshing to see Symple did this!

I use Thunderbird since eons. IMHO it's the definitive email client - nothing beats it; hence, it has no "export" features. :-)

Actually, a supernova would look like an impossibly tiny point source , much smaller than even your average laser pointer. I'm pretty sure the consequences of this haven't been thoroughly explored yet. I'm not sure the Betel

Totally agree. With Siri, Google Now and Cortana soon controlling most devices, we are in desperate need of a FOSS AI assistant, one that "thinks" outside of the "corporate AI scheme". BTW that would also benefit those u

IMHO it all boils down to habit. I switched from Excel to LO Calc and am quite happy, too, though it does feel a bit awkward and sometimes it just gets in the way. I managed writing a macro though, and it was surprisingly easier than I thou

First, you don't have to live with Unity if you don't like it - you can choose to start from any of the variants: Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu... but you could just use the stripped down ubuntu-server distro, maybe change the default

Both are very good editors. The choice might well depend on which source language you're going to edit, and your average file as well as project size (how many files?). If any of the two is large enough, you just can't use Atom fo
