I remember having immensely enjoyed the original "Call me maybe" analysis [ https://aphyr.com/posts/284-jepsen-mongodb ]. Sometimes it's just fun to see someone beaten.

No! No, no! Nicotine is less addictive than Civilisation. One person I accidentally introduced to Civ burned her PSU on the first game - which lasted 16 hours - all she could muster was "one. More. Turn".... Then again it's b

Why don't you run this executable. No, this ransomware message has nothing to do with me, it's all you. Why do you do this to yourself?

All Tarkovsky ever did with subjectmatter, both Solaris and Stalker was to take characters and setting. Everything else was Tarkovsky alone.

That's like saying snowclones and memes are going to kill book authors out of work... if anything, this is taking us to the next level of original work.

I don't think we have any data regarding immunity against this particular coronavirus. AFAIR, the nastier the virus, the longer immunity lasts, e.g. SARS, MERS immunity can last up to 3 years.

The most significant, perhaps, was the aftermath of Reichstag fire [1]. What happened after that, we all know. [1] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichstag_fire

Funny how simple solutions often elude us. Agreed re: long term.

Ah, good old hydroxychloroquine! At least this time we have a somewhat good control sample size, but a large number of variables. Still, it's a good finding, and a plausible mode of action (attenuation of inflammatory cytokine storm).

Well if the law mandates you to have an employer (or government) - issued smartphone you MUST have on you at all times, this is going to result in fines and/or incarceration.

1. "Anonymously" - it's just a phone number, no names... /s 2. Employer buys a smartphone for employee to confirm to gov requirements.

Well AFAIR virii are like that - they tend to be found, well, about everywhere, provided viral load is sufficient. That doesn't mean that their protein spike has an affinity (i.e. can bind to and infect) to other cells, so "attack

Okay, let's burn more karma. Maybe there is some hidden variable that makes these young people more susceptible to covid. Correlation without a model of action is, well, a correlation. Clots from damaged lungs maybe? But clotting witho

First off, yes, Covid is real, it's way worse than flu, social distancing is essential, it's not 5g and not a government conspiracy. But I can not help but wonder - if we were to look for other variables, like, i don't know,

If you want something incredible, try terminology. It has a few nice commands baked in starting with 'ty' - like tyls and tycat. I'm not going to spoil them for you by telling what they do. Just try it, you are going to love
