Yes it does. And I find myself re-searching in Google about 30% of the time. But for semi-common search terms you get the result right there on the page, instead of having to click through to another page - and sometime something interestin

I would love to know exactly what group was surveyed and how the score is put together. Was it an opt-in kind of thing, so only passionate/angry people would chime in. What were the questions phrased as? etc... Traditional questions like "H

That's what I usually do as well, however: DDG: http://duckduckgo.com/?q=iirc Gives me an IRC server written in Java - which didn't expect to be of use for Tumblr; Interactive Illinois Report Card which doesn't make any sense. I also chec

Well, that just means it's a great time to get into that market. If had already become huge and spending was huge, there would be lots of startups focusing on china. Perfect time to start laying out some groundwork.

HN's Karma score has partially helped me better understand myself in the social context. With time I've learned to realize which types of responses/opinions people generally prefer and how to word the same sentence so that it relates to peo

This depends on the approach you take. People don't generally like it when somebody tries to teach them something if they haven't asked for it. I've noticed that if you word your thoughts and statements more like a question, you'll get more

I was actually a zumodrive user before I was a dropbox user. I had taken a look at dropbox but the fact that zumodrive installed as a separate drive on my computer felt better/cleaner than it being a magic folder (with a space in it's name)

Ok, that's understandable. My default thinking would be: offer e-mail only notifications for free users, but you made a good point. Your target audience/market is obviously not the casual user/blogger type so it makes perfect sense.

Interesting. Why did you make the switch? I'd love to hear details about that. My thinking is that if more people are using the service, that also doubles as an advertisement if the users tell some of their friends, recommend to coworkers e

Nice. Good job guys. Interesting. They don't include a free/freemium account, only paid ones with a free trial. I have been wondering about this. I've always assumed the best business model is to offer a free plan for everyone that is not l

That's a great argument. But I think his point was that from the VCs point of view that doesn't look like the kind of fast ROI they're always after.
