One thing that people tend to underestimate is exactly how much advertising does affect them, even though many seem to adamantly claim it does not. Effective advertising doesn't always = click throughs and action. But also in terms of name

I can't give you advice on the legal aspect of it. But, it pains me that you haven't registered the domain name. I can't speak to your financial situation, but it's $9/year to register a domain. There's a chance your name will get registe

So, RRW updated with actual stats from Reddit. which isn't a fair comparison. If Hitwise's Reddit stats are wrong, then their Digg stats are probably wrong too. So you can't compare Hitwise Digg stats with Reddit real stats.

So, it's interesting they say their traffic died down due to lower Google ranking. One aspect that I don't know has been mentioned anywhere is the loss of traffic from blogs/news sites. As a news site owner, I stopped using Digg to try to

But if you had formed a single entity for all your side projects, then it wouldn't have happened a second time (you wouldn't have to have formed 2 entities for projects that never got off the ground -- just one). I think it's reasonable to

I don't know about this interpretation of "just start". My take on the "just start" thing is to avoid procrastinating forever, and feeling like it's not the right time, or your idea isn't good enough, or you aren't ready. The point is noth

agree with philwelch. Apple's reputation for good marketing is a very recent phenomenon. As someone who has followed apple for a long time, in the 90's I recall them being mocked for their crappy marketing.
