For your 'dizzy, have something with sugar'. The dizzy feeling is associated with low-blood sugar, hence the sugar to raise it. It's not a low-blood pressure/high-blood pressure thing. So, no, afaik drinking sugar doesn't cause your blo

I think it's a combination of factors. But low barrier to entry means anyone with $99 + a Mac can try. That combined with the low cost of games also prevents big budget titles from dominating. While there is still room for a relatively hi

I think the iPhone/App Store marketplace has made it similarly interesting. Small studios can (with some luck) make a living on passion projects. Lots of people have compared it to the "old days" of game development.

no one (not even the EFF) is saying that shield law protects you from committing a crime. If you read the EFF's post (linked above), there is a argument that the warrant runs a-fowl of the law. Not that they are immune to the law.

all true... but note that this only works for news items that are news-worthy already. Someone sends me a "leaked" image about their uninteresting startup, I'm not posting it. :) That said, Valve should have released a new image every day,

I find the premise a bit questionable. Was Google recognizable as a company that was going to change the world when it was a startup? Altavista, Yahoo existed. Wasn't it just trying to make existing things better?

The MacRumorsLive feed was compromised as described. The cause of the security breach is best described as "user error" due to admin files being inadvertantly mirrored across multipe server instances with incorrect permissions. This allowed

seriously, Digg just spends too much money. I guess that's fine and all for expansion when the VC money is coming in, but they spent $10.4 million in the first three quarters of 2008? Doesn't that figure seem insane for a company like dig

I don't think you read the answer properly. The response was "it's impossible to plan for" and your answer again is "you should plan ahead". And I actually do think the fact that you don't have kids does mean you don't know how hard it is.

From what I can tell, Canadian Apple Stores were never going to sell the iPhone. They were always going to sell only in Fido/Rogers stores: - http://todmaffin.com/iphonerumours - http://www.apple.com/ca/iphone/buy/ - http://64.233.169

I thought you might be joking at first, but from the article: “I don’t know if it gets better gas mileage, but I like her car because it costs $100 to fill it,” said Ms. Hammond, 40. “I think $100 for a tank of gas is cheap now.” So as long

I probably don't have a "passion" for medicine, but few people do. I personally don't know any doctors that truly have a passion for it. (I doubt, for example, that many would continue to do it if they won the lotto.) I felt like I was goo
