I would agree all models are bad, some models are useful even though it goes unstated. I feel like the author’s point is that asking for “the right model” is the wrong question. I don’t mind argument-by-analogy too much, but I think it

FWIW I largely agree with you. Zen is still competitive at ~7nm/12nm with separate corelets, so if they can match 5nm on a single chip, things will be back to normal. M1 has 16B transistors on 1 "chip", a 3950X has fewer tha

I kinda like this version best. It makes clear we're updating a ->head pointer in one case and ->next in the others. I like the elegant version, too, since it can update both kinds of pointers in one fell swoop, but you have to

As far as serif monospace, NSimSun is still my favorite. It's in Windows. I love Triplicate but can't bring myself to purchase yet. I like Equity, too. I think Triplicate is the closest to the old Selectric Prestige font, which

A latex mattress topper works great, in my (& a relative's) experience, upon a good old mattress. 3", medium-firm, pretty reasonable cost, just lay it on top. I like using enough layers of sheets so as not to feel the dimple
