Interesting insight why applying a log transform often makes data normally distributed: Pretty much all laws of nature are multiplications (F=m a, P V=n R T, etc). If you start with i.i.d random variables and multiply them, you get log-norm

You ask them for references and check yourself. They are good exploratory and hypothesis generating tools, but not more. Getting a sensible sounding answer should not be an excuse for you to confirm. Often, the devil is in the details.

But the efficiency factor of an EV is 60% as opposed to 20% for an ICE, which means you can get a similar range with much lower energy density.

Somewhat related: Can someone tell me why all those new electric cars are so poorly designed in terms of size and weight? Most of them weight over 2t and have a large frontal area (VW ID.4 is the prime example). I just want an economical fa

In the original Transport Tycoon (but not OpenTTD), if you would build a tunnel from one end of the map to the other, the amout of money to pay gets so large that it triggers a (signed) integer overflow. So you can start your campaign with

You shouldn't publish based on p < 0.05, but on orthogonal data you gathered on the instances that showed p < 0.05.

I think the main issue with "p < 0.05" can be summed up as people use it to "prove" a phenomenon exists rather than a pragmatic cutoff to screen for interesting things to investigate further.
