Hm as others mentioned it is possible to use Ansible in a very "usual" way to solve this problem. I would love if we standardize in Packer, Ansible and Terraform. Luckily it seems like the devops world is standardizing in this sta

I do wonder what other languages you consider serious apart from C. You could use similar examples for a lot of other languages, C isn't the only language used to keep our civilization alive. I did a fair bit of development in C, and d

What about supporting multiple versions of libraries at a computer? They all support it: npm, rvm, virtualenv, cargo, golang, python, maven and etc. A very common use case is to use some newer version of something than what shipped with the

I tried to do a simple web app with C++ recently.. nothing against the language but trying to decide which framework to use and then trying to integrate them to my project and build took me a couple of days, ultimately I gave up and did the

For ML use case because there's so much data to process it is usually a better ROI to use GPUs from what I have seen. If you're pipeline is anything like Load a lot of data -> process data -> get output. If it is more like a

What is your background and what do you want out of it? IMO a good way to start is by buying an FPGA development kit such as https://canada.newark.com/terasic-technologies/p0037/dev-boa... which has a bunch of I&#

I have worked at several big studios and never witnessed 50h weeks as the norm. Core Pipeline / R&D do overtime very rarely and have a 40h/week with a lot of flexibility. Artists is a different world and can feel very sweatsho

It is very different when it is between ICs and when it is someone who is more of a manager doing the same with the ICs. I like this quote by Jason Cox, - Great leaders are optimistic – They are hopeful, confident, and positive.
