It wasn't though. The rollout follows political seats exactly to the street. In Brisbane this means that it followed the border of marginal ALP seats that cross the river and back again instead of doing adjacent houses. It's also

This is a great summary, and a large number of people I know are doing exactly this. Using 4g since the 4g network in major cities on Telstra is extremely fast, and fits their lifestyle (really just using phones at home, or a hotspot in a p

This is an extremely biased and misleading take on the situation. Look at premises passed when the LNP came into power. https://www.nbnco.com.au/content/dam/nbnco2/documents/nbn-ro... Total activated in

I disagree about the original plan being preferable. The original NBN plan was a pipe dream in terms of cost feasibility, the rollout was aligned electoral boundaries, and the country first mentality means you get 12 megabit per second ADSL

Like anything it has it's pros and cons. For some thing it's the best IDE out there and for others not so great. Xcode 9's speed improvements to the editor are fantastic, but stability has been an issue for me at least.

I think a lot of these comments are directed at Xcode and tooling, not Swift specifically. This is unfortunately just the trend with where we are at with new desktop mac software, hopefully High Sierra's focus on improvements over feat

Interesting how this works once you go back to currency. This extortion money being "legally" worthless, being the proceeds of crime. (Illegally obviously worth the picture on the front.)

I agree with what you are saying to an extent (it is just paper), however at a minimum the value of government backed money could possibly be expressed by the mobilisation of resources a government would rally to give it value. Lets say eve

I think it is interesting, particularly how GDP changes and quality of life indexes don't reflect things like this. Our quality of life in the first world changes for the better somewhat, but we had 150 trillion dollar equivalent devic
