It is for a subset of the market that only uses the web and a few apps. Otherwise, no, and Apple knows it which is why they are sticking their ARM silicon in Macs and continuing to evolve MacOS.

I have always seen iOS devices as consoles, or at least closer to consoles than PCs. Anything with a locked App Store and a locked boot loader is a console by definition. MacOS is a general purpose computer OS. Considered as a console iOS i

I used a DOS program called blue beep to try it in the early 1990s. Got the famed kerchunk noise once, but was unable to get any further. Even by 1993 electronic switching was replacing the kinds of old analog systems you could do this with

Security concerns here are overblown, and this is IMHO more useful than WebRTC. This is how it should have been done to begin with, as well as the ugly hack known as web sockets. There should be some restrictions. No ports under 1024 withou

Is it? Which company has more growth ahead of it? Wal-Mart is slowly digesting in the Amazon Saarlac pit like all retail. Stocks are valued by growth unless they pay a lot of dividends, and dividends are rare today.

I don't see anyone doing a Galileo here. Nobody's arresting this guy for speaking. I do see him being dismissed a lot. Ultimately the burden of proof is on him as he is the one proposing an alternative hypothesis. He is free to me

Restaurants are so wasteful. Huge amounts of food is thrown away both in the kitchen and in the form of uneaten plates. Just going from restaurants to home probably saves a decent amount of food.

Unfortunately going from iOS to Android is out of the frying pan into the fire. Android is much worse from a privacy point of view. You can easily see this by just spying on network traffic and DNS requests from the device. It's const

The cloud is DRM. If the software doesn't run locally or only parts of it do, then it's impossible to pirate. It's also possible to impose a continuous rent on users. If the user can run disconnected that's hard to enfor

That would be really, really hard and would require a tremendous amount of additional organization in the dev process. Either that or fixes would need to be back ported to every running supported version. That's insane.
