I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you there (the "all in" comment). I'm kind of in the same boat. I learned BASIC and vb first, then some PHP, but I've been doing MS-related work for the last 12 or so years.

I've been using VS2013 with ReSharper 8 (though I've been using RS in general for many years) and the pair seem to be faster than ever.

More and more games are using it as a patching tool these days. Blizzard has been using BitTorrent to distribute patches for years with WoW.

They also support git repos now as well. I like to use them for my private git repos.

Sorry for being naive, but what about that photo makes it worth that much? I've seen landscape photos that illicit an emotional response from me but I just can't see what makes this worth that much. It just looks like a drab, overcast day

Discs from a retail store won't even help with the current trends. Battlefield 3, for example, I bought at a brick and mortar store but the only thing it gave me was a key to activate on Origin and a DVD with packages that Origin "download

Well, at that point sockets were something that really interested me (still do) but I didn't know much about them. I asked her if she could spend a lecture going over them and her response was something like "See? This is why there aren't

This reminds me of back in University ~10 years ago. In one of my Java courses we had a female professor and one female student. The female student ended up dropping the course within the first month not from harassment by her fellow male

I find this a bit hypocritical considering Anonymous was born from 4chan, the largest repository of child porn and scum on the net.

While they may have been wrong about Bethesda vs ZeniMax (and it's an easy mistake seeing as Bethesda is doing the publishing) they were right about RAGE being an id game. Doom 3 was also a "pure id" game released after Quake 3.

It could also be that they just want to learn more about how what they work with functions. I have a hobby operating system that I'm working on (that doesn't do much of anything at the moment :), but I'm not creating it because I think oth

That's fine, I'm calling them and telling them to cancel my 200 channel HDTV plan with DVR so I can pay for the overages on bandwidth I'll get by watching my TV shows on Hulu and Netflix. I think I'll even end up spending less per month! I

Is this any surprise considering their new design? The only way I can read any Gawker site is via an RSS feed and even then I can't stand to read past that and actually visit the site.

I'm not surprised. When I first found out Dell was re-entering the "small devices" sector I decided I was going to stay far away from anything they produced. I was burned on the Axim X50v and I'm not going to make the same mistake twice.
