I can't wait for this. For the most part, I don't care about the quality of it (at best 480p). As long as it's not choppy, I could care less if Burt Reynolds' mustache is pixelated.

The quote: "A rule of thumb that has worked well for me is that if I'm excited to play around with something, it probably doesn't belong in production." was what hit me.

I'm not a big proponent of all of these new HTML replacers. They don't really buy you anything--this one just gets rid of angle brackets as far as I can see, and adds CSS style #id and .classname. Now, instead of angle brackets, we have to

What's interesting to note is that I've found box cutters in the stores within the gates of one airport before. I wonder what the regulations are for airport merchants?

GOOD ( http://good.is ) is the only one currently. It's bi-monthly so it's easier to get a chance to read it. It's pretty good, but I bet just reading their website daily would be better.

Obviously, you could write a stored procedure to make a move here and then create some logic elsewhere to play a game, but it'd be neither efficient, nor interesting. So, what other ideas to people have as to why this might be useful?

While you say infectious as a bad thing, I see it as a great thing. If I choose to release something under the a permissive license, why shouldn't I ask you to share your contributions as well? I don't get what all the fuss is about lately

I've made this case to my wife, and she won't have it. The problem with this of course--you can't be 100% ethical without starving. Sorry plants.

database.py isn't really in the same realm, but it could certainly be modified and enhanced to support this abstraction.

I'm guessing that with Python 2.7's included ttk, and this (or something like it), we'll finally be able to make apps written in Tk appear native. This is big.

The obvious way to make it more valuable is to integrate a web version with other editors--be they rich text or not. I'm not sure how easy it is to plug into Word, but seems like that could add lots of value.

I now realize why people don't always share their failures in the way Feynman said we should in "Cargo Cult Science." Comments like this: > wow, you are an idiot. i feel bad for you. you work on image processing for a living?
