Is there any mid-sized/popular open source apps written in Modula-2 (obviously, excluding the compiler itself)?

VB 6 was my 1st exposure for desktop programming (MSVC was harder). Then I met Delphi 6, and Lazarus. These days, when I want to build cross platform desktop apps quickly, Lazarus is #1 choice. P.S: I don't write desktop apps profesion

I don't get the "digital wall" things. Yes, mid 2020 till 2021 is the worst part of the pandemic era. For few months, shopping malls, restaurants, cafes etc are not allowed to open. Then the restrictions were gradually lifted

I don't use plain black wallpapers because it makes dust/fingerprints etc on my laptop screen easily noticable, so prefer relativily minimalist wallpapers. Used to like "crowded" wallpapers like cityscape, but found it d

That would make the whole learning process way slower. I remember a few old lecturers saying they learnt programming on punch card computers, which you have to wait a few hours just to get a simple code running. Usually, you are not lucky e

I think for learning photography today, using a film camera will very likely wasteful, unless you are pursuing a photography degree, for example. Get a digital camera. Instant feedback and histogram are very useful for judging your exposure

I think Pascal implementations are practically dominated by Delphi and FPC these days (FPC has Delphi compatibility mode). On the other side, there are more players in C/C++ club: GCC, Clang, MSVC, Pelles C, LCC Win32, AMD C++, Intel C

Not sure about the current state of ISO Pascal, at least there's no ISO D or Rust, either. D and Rust are defined by the official implementations. On the other side, Delphi is still being enhanced and FPC tries to be compatible with it

As far as I know, DMD doesn't offer much optimisations. So you use DMD for development, and once the testing is done, built the production release with LDC or GDC.

But for the sake of argument, I don't see why Forth isn't appropriate for learning programming. I started learning programming in 2001 with QBasic. Didn't do "real work tasks" like downloading some files from server

Beside embedded system or firmware, what are Forth's popular use cases these days? Personally I never see backend development or mobile frontend job vacancies that require Forth skill, for example.
