Problem with these small things is that they don't scale thus can't exit. It means you will have to just milk them for profit over many years and they never get big. If a SaaS has a 6x revenue multiple as it does now, it doesn

What's newsworthy about it? That's what used to be called shareware in the good old days of yore, some 25 years ago, and schoolkids and uni students did it from all places in the world making about same money which meant hell lot

Why not just move US H1Bs back to India and keep paying them US wages? They will be filthy rich in India, their living standards will literally skyrocket. They will be highly unlikely to leave. And keep them on same roles as they did in US.

Bullshit. Just exited in Prague airport an hour ago, about to board a plane (intra EU flight, to Cyprus! just not Schengen). Stamps are still mandatory.

I've been building an innovative guided munition for Ukraine for the last 4 months, we have first prototypes made and have arrangements with the testing range to begin flying them soon.

We saw how they tried to implement this in the Soviet Union. Sure there were almost no rich. Everyone was poor af. And there was no escape from it unless you willing to hijack a plane.

Fun fact: outside of the Anglosphere it's mostly people who pretend to be men, siphoning money off lonely women. Typical fake profile is a handsome American colonel deployed to Iraq (i met several women who flirted with "him"

I had enough time. It was the weight of responsibility indeed. While i realise that my refund rate was quite low and the app was certainly not unacceptably buggy.

That's the thing, failure stories are entirely uninteresting. I tried so many things, almost all of them ended with "i built and tried selling it but no one was buying". What is it to learn from it, for anyone? The only two e

In a manual mode these days it certainly can't work. People are no longer that gullible. But to think, in 2010 it likely could! So that could be a thing.

What is a "scam dating site"? A site where AI-driven profiles you contact with, phish or socially-engineer your money out of you? That probably couldn't happen in 2015 let alone 2010, AI tech wasn't yet there. If you mea

Can't upvote this enough. Sadly, very few people will care about calling bullshit and i even doubt there's money in calling bullshit. Everyone is happily betting on it - and they seem to be winning!

It will create demand for electricity. Demand always creates supply. Perpahs that was the missing link to the mass deployment of solar (because there's just no other way similar amounts of energy can be produced).

Certainly, to limit oil imports and consumption, we should ensure that poor people can't drive gas-powered cars.

Too little and too late. Draconian measures are necessary to push automakers into compliance and to push consumers to buy. It's expensive unless we want to sell out to China completely, but necessary and in the end, affordable.

Question must be asked: why would anyone teach teenagers coding these days? People naturally love coding, especially teens. It's addictive. And it no longer leads to any career prospects, or chances to contribute to society, or money,

Payroll taxes of course don't come from the rich, they don't make money as salaries. And their consumption is quite limited so they don't pay much VAT either. Money in Scandinavian countries is coming from the middle class. T

I think panic is unjustified. A lot of the deficit is essentially a baked in inflation of the already existing debt. If US budget deficit was 6.4% in 2024 and debt to GDP ratio was 124%, inflation 2.9% and GDP growth 2.8%, the budget defici
