I think what you're describing is, easy tasks are easy to perform. Which is, of course, true. Anecdotally, a lot of value I get from Copilot is in simple, mundane tasks.

Sounds fantastic! And it might also help with ageism, when "learned programming long before LLMs" is recognized as a differentiator. I, for one, welcome this change very much, disastrous as it sounds.

What's different is the badness of the outcome: if children mislabel you as a cheater in CoD, you may get kicked from the server. If CloudFlare mislabels you as a bot, however, you may be unable to access medical services, or your bank

What you're describing was precisely our culture at the last startup. One group plans ahead and overall do a solid job, so they're rarely swamped, never pull all-nighters. People are never promoted, they're thought of as slac

Yep, I also thought that the article is less about personal projects. The list of software development aspects that the author gives includes CI/CD, good documentation, and integration tests — I'd be surprised if a lot of hobby pr

> Russia is not a democracy How do you determine this though? There are candidates. Majority of the people vote. The one voted for the most wins. Sure, _some_ candidates are in jail (or dead) — but that's strictly because they were

That's a very charitable way of explaining away literally anything. Let me try: It's not like Putin started a war, but rather some officials trusted the electorate at some level and decided that the rules the electorate chose to m

But the AI tools are extremely easy to use, and their usability improves over time. Of course the businesses prefer the commoditization of the employees, — if everyone uses AI anyway, why not hire the cheapest possible candidates? For the e
