I skimmed through the features and was very excited for the dark mode announcement. But that quickly went down the drain when I couldn't find how to force it from the setting, because I'm using i3wm, and there's no "dark

I might be wrong, but you probably didn't handle as much traffic as Github does. Bugs and outages probability is a asymptotic to normalized traffic. At least intuitively.

The whole ordeal with the Online part led me to believe there will be feature differentiation. I might be wrong. It is indeed blurry on this particular matter.

I feel like this will create another OpenOffice forking into LibreOffice kind of situation. I can see myself not being able to pay for the Enterprise product, but wanting it, and having the core part available to fork and extend. It's

That's it. I'm switching to iOS. Android is like child's play when it comes to privacy compared to the features introduced just in this version of iOS. I'm sure I'll hate the lack of customizability but at least the

I was thinking about 20 hours of actual battery life. Seeing as the A13 has the performance of 9900K in many cases (as mentioned in the article), I'm assuming it's pretty easy to achieve around 20 hours of battery life with an A13

My money is not only on the performance, but also an adjustable thermal envelope, which means perhaps even 5 times the battery life of normal windows laptops.

Here's the thing: I'm very aware of the fact that our climate is going to shit, and I try to conciously help however I can, but airplanes is one thing where I can't seem to figure out how to replace. It is extremely practical

Linus from LinusTechTips did include that specific processor, and even the 150$ Core i5 (I forgot which one specifically). I recommend you see that video for the comparison you're asking for.

In my (albeit limited) experience, those "useless" packages tend to be not so useless in order to have a somewhat functional installation. Example: By default, Ubuntu+GNOME installs various utilities that you WILL need unless you

I would be very interested in seeing if they do in fact have some dedicated hardware for this. As far as I can tell, Google for example tries to keep its custom hardware (as in custom relative to the rest of the infrastructure) very minimal

Excellent post. Thanks for sharing. As a rookie software engineer, this is very interesting for me to read as I myself want to eventually transition to freelance work.

You are correct. There are generally some "hidden" fact. Like some news outlets try to run the story as something that it isn't. It was not confrontational at all.
